When I was 12 I got my first camera. Ever since then the idea of photography and capturing a moment in time has been extremely appealing to me.

I love everything about it, from the creativity, to the angles, to the color and editing. It is something that I believe that I will always have a passion for.

Wanted to give a blog post about everything I’ve been up to (aka all the pictures I’ve been taking).

Enjoy the photos! Under every slideshow there will be a link where you can view more photos!!

All photos were taken by me and are my intellectual property. Please feel free to share, but do not claim photos as your own.

Sarah June

Have you ever cried out, “Lord, how long will you allow this?” That was the cry of the prophet Habakkuk. He wondered how long God planned to stand by and watch the wrongdoings of the wicked.

Recently a dear friend of mine told me she is getting tattoo on her shoulder. Although the tattoo is small, it packs a powerful message that I think we all need to hear. (She ended up getting a different tattoo, but the message is still important.

The tattoo is in the shape of a triangle. The three points symbolize the three chapters of Habakkuk which is a book in the Bible.

For those of you who don’t know or maybe just need reminded Habakkuk was a prophet who complained to God, asking him why he was letting all of these terrible things happen.

My friend explained all of this to me, so I recently took it upon myself to reread Habakkuk. Although I have read this book of the Bible before, when I reread just the first chapter I was taken aback with the greatness of our God.

In the second through fourth verse of chapter one, Habakkuk basically asks the Lord, why are you letting all of this terrible stuff happen?

& what the Lord replies just blows me away.

v. 5: “Look at the nations and watch – and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”

Sarah June: Update

I wanted to take a moment and stop in the midst of this fast-pace moving life and give you an update of where I’ve been and where I am going!!

In the beginning days of May I moved out of Treudley 403. I said ‘goodbye’ and ‘see ya later’ to some amazing people.

I was able to do a few photo shoots along the way including with the beautiful Ashley Walker {Senior}IMG_2096_Fotor

As I got home from another year at college I quickly become caught up in the job search. A week later, I was able to call myself an official Starbucks Partner, aka a barista. I’ve learned so many things as a barista, and really enjoy the team that I get to work with in Troy.

This Memorial Day weekend has been full of fun events.

On Thursday I got the email saying that I was officially nominated to go on the Global Consulting Program (GCP) to Nicaragua!! I will leave on New Years Day in 2018 and be gone for two weeks.

On Friday, my brother Caleb graduated from Milton-Union as Valedictorian. I cannot wait to see how God uses him in the future. I am incredibly proud of how bold he is in his faith.

On Sunday, I was given the opportunity to shoot my very first wedding, I’ve uploaded a sneak peek to my portfolio: Bailey Wedding.

I wouldn’t have been able to get through the day without my amazing boyfriend at my side: DSC_0088_Fotor.jpg

A huge thanks to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along this journey. I am very thankful for each and every one of you.

For those of you who have been following my little blog since the very beginning, THANK YOU.

I totally failed in my New Years Goals & Resolutions to post a new blog every Thursday of the year. Sorry to those who were looking forward to hearing from me every week.

Unpopular Opinion of Feminism

First off, I want to apologize for the late post this week.

Everything has been pretty hectic with assignments and exams.

Recently when I was looking through some of the new inventory at Old Mill Design & Exchange and I came across a really old book called The Ideal New Woman  by Tremaudan and it was published in 1898.

Right off the bat, the first page caught my eye.

Next, I would like to say that I have been silent about a lot of things, but reading this book, made my heart stir, and I felt as if I had to share.
